In the above photo are 12 winners from the 38th Annual Southern Region Open at the Dothan Civic Center on 4 November 2017.  Tyler "Cotton" Sherrer winning 1st in weapons, kata, fighting and also the junior black belt Grand Championship. Jace Himes won 1st in both weapons and fighting with 3rd in kata. Danai Coleman in the adult women brown belt division won 1st in kata, weapons and fighting. Kevin Marlatt won 1st in kata, weapons, and fighting in the adult men's brown belt division. Justin Jones won 1st in both weapons and fighting and 2nd in forms. Keith Warren won 2nd in weapons 3rd in fighting. Justin (JT) Marlatt won 1st in weapons and kata. Benjamin Recznik won 3rd in kata and fighting. Evan Maquet won 2nd in forms. Ethan Maquet won 1st in kata. Layton Smith won 1st in kata and Lila Haddex won 3rd in fighting

In the above photo: Students from Conley's Keichu-Do Academy represented Enterprise at the Sunshine Classic Open Karate Tournament on 9 September 2017.  Cotton Sherrer winning 1st in weapons, kata, fighting and also winning the Grand Championship. Layton Smith in the yellow belt division place 1st in kata and 2nd in fighting, while Lila Haddix place 3rd in both in fighting and kata. Not in photo is Danai Coleman 15 - 17 brown belt division winning 1st in kata, weapons and fighting


In the above photo: Students from Conley's Academy of Keichu-Do Martial Arts represented Enterprise at the 49th Battle of Atlanta Karate Championship on June 15 - 17, 2017 at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta, GA.  Students from Grandmater Conley's academy have been participating at the Battle of Atlanta for the last nine years and have never lost in the Class A division for traditional karate events.  The winning started off with: Cotton Sherrer and Jace Himes in the junior black belt division.  Cotton won 1st place in creative forms, traditional forms and weapons.  He placed 3rd in fighting.  Cotton also was awarded Grand Champion in weapons.  Jace Himes won 1st in forms and 2nd in both weapons and fighting.  Jace also won Grand Champion in forms.  In the girls brown belt division, Danai Coleman placed 2nd in weapons and 4th in forms.  Also in the brown belt division ages 12-13, Justin (JT) Marlatt placed 3rd in weapons and 2nd in forms.  His father Kevin Marlatt placed 1st in all three divisions; weapons, forms and fighting for the adult brown belts.  In the white/yellow belt division, Layton Smith placed 2nd in forms.  The parents were extremely proud of their children and are looking forward to the 2018 Battle of Atlanta. 

The above are all the winners with instructors from the South Alabama Karate Tournament on 10 June 2017 in Andalusia, AL  In the junior Black belt division: Cotton Sherrer placed 1st in both weapons and forms, 3rd in fighting and won the junior black belt forms Grand champion trophy.  Jace Himes won 3rd in weapons, 2nd in forms and 1st in fighting.  Brown belt division: Danai Coleman won 2nd in weapons, 2nd in fighting and 1st in forms, Justin Jones won 1st in weapons 2nd in forms and 3rd in fighting, Kevin Marlatt won 1st in weapons, 2nd in both forms and fighting, Justin (JT) Marlatt won 2nd in weapons and 4th in forms, Keith Warren won 4th in weapons, 1st in forms and 4th in fighting, In the kids division ages 7-9 year old: Chandler Strong won 3rd in forms and Grey Huguley won 2nd in forms.  In the 10 - 13 year old Benjamin Recznik won 3rd in forms and 2nd in fighting.  First time competitor white belt yellow strip, Layton Smith won 1st in forms and 2nd in fighting

In above photo are winners from the IKC karate Challenge in Columbus, GA.
Starting off the New Year, five students from Conley’s Keichu-Do Academy of Martial Arts represented Enterprise at the IKC Karate Challenge in Columbus, Georgia on 18 February 2017.  This was the first karate tournament for 2017 which started tournament season and they all did great. White belt Braeden Brye won a 1st in kata and 2nd in fighting. Tyler Cotton Sherrer and Jace Himes, both first place winners competed for the youth Black Belt Grand Championship.  They both did a great job. Jace Himes is not in the photo. Danai Coleman competed in the 15 - 17 age group brown belt division placed 1st in weapons and 2nd in kata.  While JT Marlatt was awarded 4th place in kata and weapons and 2nd place in fighting.
