Below are the winners from the 42nd Annual Southern Region Open Karate Tournament on 5 November, 2022

Enterprise Martial Art Students Always on Top for 2022

Only nine students from Conley’s Keichu-Do Academy competed at the 42nd  Annual Southern Region Open Karate Tournament on 5 November 2022 at the Dothan Civic Center.  In Dothan Alabama.  Like all competitions this was a great day for the warriors.   All students won a first-place trophy to close out the tournaments season for the warrior’s year 2022.  The winnings started off in the junior black belt division with Jace Himes placing 3rd in weapons 1st in forms and fighting.  Because of his 1st place win in forms, he had the opportunity to compete for the junior black belt grand championship in which he won.  He also won 1st place in the junior black belt fighting.  In the adult Brown belt division ages 18-34; Xavier Cruz placed 1st in forms, weapons and 3rd in fighting.   In the brown belt division ages 15–17-year-old, Layton Smith placed 1st in fighting, and 2nd in both weapons and forms.  Lennon Chandler placed 1st in forms and weapons in the 13- & 14-year-old brown belt division.  Landon Smith placed 1st in forms in the green belt division ages 13 & 14 year-old.  Now, in the 13 – 14-year-old white and yellow belt girls’ division, Mary McBride placed 1st in forms and 2nd in fighting.  Also, for the first time Sarah McBride placed 1st in both forms and fighting in the 15 – 17-year-old white and yellow belt division boys and girls.  Evan Marquet placed 1st in both forms and fighting in the white and yellow belt division ages 11&12 year old.  In the 7 & 8 year old orange, green and blue belt division, seven-year-old Sebastian Steger placed 1st in forms and 3rd in fighting.

 They all had a great day.  The Keichu-Do warriors are maintaining their standards and are ready for 2023.

Below are the winners from the 34th Annual Sunshine Classic Open Karate Tournament on 10 September 2022

Enterprise Martial Artist Students Victorious 

Ten students from Conley’s Keichu-Do Academy competed at the 34th Annual Sunshine Classic Open Karate Tournament which was held in Panama City Beach, FL on 10 September 2022.  This tournament was the third karate tournament for 2022 for the Keichu Warriors.  The winnings started off in the junior black belt division with Jace Himes placing 1st in forms, fighting and  weapons.  Jace also won the Grand Championship trophy over all of the junior black belt competitors. In the adult men brown belt division, Xavier Cruz placed 1st in forms and 3rd in fighting.  In the brown belt division age   15&17 year old, Layton Smith placed 1st in weapons 2nd in forms and 1st in fighting.  Lennon Chandler placed 1st in forms and weapons and 2nd in fighting. in the 13 & 14 year old brown belt division. In the green belt division age 13&14 year old, Landon Smith placed 2nd in forms and Christopher Willard placed 1st in fighting.  Hector Cruz placed 1st in forms and 2nd in fighting in the 11&12 year old green belt division.  In the 13&14 year old white and yellow belt girls division, Mary McBride placed 2nd in forms.  For the first time competing Evan Marquet place 1st in both forms and fighting in the white and yellow belt division ages 11&12 year old.   In the 7&8 year old orange, green and blue belt division, seven year old Sebastian Steger placed 1st in forms. They all did a great job representing Enterprise and Keichu-Do Martial Arts. “ Winning a total of: 13 first plus the junior black belt Grand Championship , 5 second and 1 third place trophies”

Hard work and training pay off. The next competition scheduled for the warriors will take place November 5, 2022, at the 42nd Annual Southern Region Open at the Dothan Civic Center

Below are the winners from the 22nd Annual South Alabama Karate Tournament on 11 June 2022

Enterprise Martial Artist Students Maintaining

Ten students from Conley’s Keichu-Do Academy competed at the 22nd Annual South Alabama Karate Open Tournament at Straughn High School in Andalusia Alabama on 11 June 2022.     This tournament was the Keichu Warriors second tournament for 2022 with a job well done.  The winnings started off in the adult black belt division with Moon Mullins winning 2nd place in weapons and 3rd in forms.  In the junior black belt division Jace Himes placed 1st in forms, 2nd in weapons and also won the junior black belt grand championship for 2022.  In the adult men brown belt division, Xavier Cruz placed 1st in forms and 3rd in fighting.  In the brown belt division ages 13-17, Lennon Chandler placed 1st in forms, and 3rd in both weapons and fighting.  In the same division Layton Smith placed 2nd in forms.  In the orange and green belt division ages 11- & 12-year-old, Hector Cruz placed 1st in both forms and fighting.  In the orange and green belt division ages 13-17 Christopher Willard placed 1st in both forms and fighting, while Landon Smith placed 2nd in forms. In the girls 13-17 beginners’ division, first time competitor Mary McBride place 3rd  in forms.   Victoriously in the age 6 and under Sebastian Steger placed 1st in both forms and fighting. The next competition scheduled for the warriors will take place In Panama City Florida at the Sunshine Classic Open on 10 September 2022

Below are winners from the 23rd Annual IKC Challenge

Enterprise Martial Artist Students started out 2022 Big

Nine students from Conley’s Keichu-Do Academy competed at the 23rd  Annual IKC Challenge Karate Tournament which was held in Columbus Georgia on 19 February 2022.  This tournament was the first tournament for 2022 which started off the tournament season for the  Keichu warriors. The winnings started off in the junior black belt division with Jace Himes placing 2nd in both forms and fighting and placed 3rd weapons.  In the adult men brown belt division, Xavier Cruz placed 1st in both forms and fighting. Also in the brown belt division age   16&17 year old Layton Smith place 1st in both forms and fighting and 2nd in weapons.  In the green belt division age 11&12 year old, Hector Cruz place 1st in both forms and fighting. Also in the 11&12 year old green belt girls division, for the first time competing Isabella Moon place 1st in forms and 3rd in fighting.  In the 14&15 year old green belt boys division Landon Smith placed 1st in forms. In the white, yellow and orange belt division, also for the first time competing, Christopher Willard place 1st in forms and 3rd in fighting.  Gordon Coleman place 2nd in the 11& 12 year old white yellow and orange belt division.  In the 6&7 year old white, yellow and orange belt division six year old Sebastian Steger placed 1st in both forms and fighting. The Keichu-Do warriors are not just karate students; they are all great martial artists. Hard work and training pays off. The next competition scheduled for the warriors will take place June 11 2022 in Andalusia AL, at the South Alabama Karate Open Great Job Warriors
